As modern poker theory continues to advance, so too do the tools and resources by which players utilize to better understand how to play profitably. Since 2016, Solve For Why has run 27 live, in-person Academies that both focused on teaching current game theory strategies as well putting attendees to the test through live-streamed gameplay. Our ability to offer a unique, hands-on training experience with real-time feedback, proved to set us apart as the premier training site focused on live NL Hold’em. With every iteration of the Academy, the strategies evolved. However, the gameplay element and commentary have largely stayed the same, until now. It’s with great excitement that we would like to announce the Solve for Why Academy will now become the Poker Out Loud Academy.
Attendees can expect an immersive four-day experience, with day one and day three dedicated to strategy construction, while day two and day four will be a fully produced, 9-handed version of Poker Out Loud, challenging all participants to speak their decisions in real-time. Each attendee will be given a template to follow that will guide and streamline their thought processes throughout the hand. A coach will be on-site to provide brief commentary after each hand concludes, as well as offer hand reviews during the breaks. The strategy lectures will be comprehensive, beginning with game theory principles, then moving into preflop construction, board textures, C-bet strategies, bet sizings, and finally, turn and river strategies.
Each day will begin at 11 am and conclude at 7 pm, with short breaks every 90 minutes as well as a 45-minute lunch break. You will leave the academy with a live poker strategy framework that has been tested and reviewed by our coaches, and most importantly, yourself. This will give you the foundation necessary to move up stakes and dominate the field.
